Not sure if I like back to normal or not...
Started out with church this morning...What a great worship and sermon today...I needed it today...
After Church we took Kim out to lunch...They had pot luck at church but Kim wanted Carlos O Kelly's...so we took her there for lunch.. Came home after lunch and packed up her car and she took off to go back to college...Miss her already..It's been a while since I have been alone in the house..Well Russ is home today but starting tomorrow it all goes back to normal with no kids being home...It will take some time to get use to it all over again...Winter break sure went fast...it seems so long ago that it was Christmas...
On Saturday I went to Hancock Fabrics...It's been a while and they changed the store all around.. and to me they had less Fabric..I couldn't even find T-shirt fabric...A week or so ago I went to our Walmarts near us and they have shrunk down there sewing area to...They have no pattern books to go through either...So at Hancocks I sat down and went through there pattern books..Got a few patterns to work on some things.. I am also shocked at the price of fabric...UGH... I love long night shirts and found a pattern and I was looking for T-shirt fabric but couldn't find anything...Did find something close to it...By the time I bought the fabric and pattern I could have bought a night shirt cheaper at Walmarts. It's the fact that I will have fun making my own...Then the fun will begin when I start looking on the internet for fabric that is at a bargain...or wait till fabric goes on sale at Hancocks or JoAnns...I have some stuff to keep me busy for a while...So I am just tickled silly...
I wanted to get somethings to keep me busy because this whole week is goign to be no spend week except for chemo co-pay...Our cars are filled with gas and food in the house...I will be making a grocery list for next week...Making a menu to..I guess first I have to make a menu and then the list...
Another thing I am going room by room and will be decluttering and organizing in each room..It will take me a while as chemo does limit the energy...So I am making a list of things to do each day... Hopefully will get things accomplished...
Budgeting is another thing I have to re-do... It will be worked on tomororw...I sat down and did a budget and left some things out...Memory is foggy at times...So Russ and I sat down over the weekend and made a list of things...Realized I left out somethings..So I will re-do and we will be sticking to it pretty much for 6 months...It is going to be tough but we can make it work...We just have to limit a few things..Cut somethings out but we aren't going to suffer because of it...Actually we will probably be better off in what we are doing...
One thing Russ and I talked about is the garden this year...Unfortunately as much as I like to garden we just aren't going to do it this year...We will have some tomatoes in containers but that is it..We are going to cover the gardens this summer and then we will let them sit for this year... I know with surgery and my reconstructive surgery there just won't be any energy to put into the garden...I am not even looking at seed catalogs...It is going to be hard in not having veggies this year...We will support the farmers market this year...We will enjoy going this year and meeting vendors...The money that we would have spent on our gardens will go to purchasing fresh veggies...
My biggest goal this New Year was to beat cancer...I will continue beating it.. I know it can always come back...So my health is important...Eating right is very important and the menu planning is very important...Losing weight will be another thing to work on..So I have a very busy year this year with my health and Russ's health...I am excited for this challenge...I am excited to start sewing again and making my own clothes...and also re-purposing some old clothes to fit...I think it will be fun to work on sewing...
This afternoon I clipped our dogs nails...I saved money by doing it myself.. I love saving money in this way.. One of our dogs Remmy which is a Golden Retriever makes such an ordeal about his nails and trimming his hair...Wears me out.. But that deed is done for now..
As you go through the week may your week be filled with many Blessings....

WOW! Busy lady...
I am glad that you got to go to church today. It is still Sunday to me even though it is 1:27 am Monday morning, because I haven't gone to bed yet. :)
We don't even try to groom Princess Downy. Not cause she wouldn't like it I guess, but because neither of us have the strength to hold her to do it. It is like a two person job. I hold and Mel does whatever. So we just hope that we can have the cash a few times a year to have a gal here in town groom her. :)
I hope you have a great week. Take care, Janet W ((HUGS))
Wow! Lisa reading this post really motivates me to finish my organization and cleaning, I am thinking "Here is a lady who has got her priorities in order". You always inspire me so much, I certainly relate to the adjusting when daughter leaves. It usually takes a few days for both of us..
I too have noticed that Wal-mart has cut down on their fabrics and notions, I didn't like that as they had great prices.
I am so glad that you are doing so well, and will continue to pray as you continue to heal.
Hugs,
Sue
