A snowy day....

It's been snowing all day long...It was heavy for a time but most of the time it has been light..I think we got 4 inches or maybe more....When Russ calls to tell me he will be traveling home, I will go and start my snow blower and get a path up the driveway for him and then we will work together to get the job finished.. We have a much bigger snow blower for him...I can't handle it...I love my baby one we got about a year ago it has an electric start..I would never beable to start it by pulling the chord....I do most of the snow shoveling and Russ wanted me to have a snow blower so we invested in one for me...It has been the best move for us since I can use it with the IV Pick in my arm..This year the bigger one is giving us problems getting it started...It is about 10 years old...My older son said it needs a new starter...So come spring Dan will work on it because he knows how to fix small engines like that...He went to schooling for that..So they are searching for a starter on line...It will save us alot of money by Dan doing it..

Yesterday I did some things on my list that I posted...I am finsihing things that are not done and it feels so good to see things coming together and not costing us anything because I have everything... Yesterday I finished putting up the border wall paper....the border wall paper is not up near the ceiling..It is right above where my counter top stops...It's like a tile border...but it is a tuscan theme...I love the olive oil bottles with herbs in it and that is what the border is..Well I stopped at the stove and started on the otherside of the stove..I have no idea why I did that...But it has been 3 years and it has bugged me that I didn't put that piece behind the stove... So when I was cleaning the sewing room I looked in a cabinet and found the border to finish the project...I had a small oak shelf just above the stove...It held salt and pepper shakers and some olive oil...The shelf was oak but a different color oak then my kitchen cabs..it also bugged me...So yesterday I sanded it to make sure the new paint adheres to it...I painted it black...My stove is white with a black smooth top...Just finishing the border paper and painting the shelf black makes such a difference to the area and also my attitude...

I know some of you have been reading my blog for sometime...My husband made me a dough/noodle board a couple of years ago...I saw the noodle boards on other blogs and loved them..So for my birthday he made me the noodle board.. Well it has traveled from one spot to another because my oven is in use all the time..So it sorta got in the way in the kitchen...The whole idea was I wanted it in my kitchen...Well it has been sitting on my coffee table with magazines on it and the remote controls for the TV....It looked nice but I wanted it in my kitchen...So I ended up putting it on my counter top that I rarely use because it houses my mixer and a few other things...So I took everything off and then set the noodle board on the counter and then put the mixer on it with the other things...it looks so nice...So I have my noodle board back in the kitchen where it belongs...

Well it is time to finish the kitchen and I am going to make homemade chicken pot pie and I need to get somethings chopped and then I need to get ready to snow blow the driveway...Hope everyone has had a fantstic day....

I hope you managed to stay warm out there clearing off the drive. I didn't mind the snow so much but it was cold!!
Glad to hear you are crossing things off your list.

I am amazed on how much you get done! We have a small snow blower and I could have used it, but I didn't - now I wish I did. I feel so lazy compared to you. You have so much talent. I couldn't do a boarder if my life depended on it. Like the others said YOU GO WOMAN!!! And GET SOME rest too! :)
